Busy....

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been so busy with my exams just now so I haven't been able to post a lot recently. My last exam is on the 30th of May so I promise to post a lot more on here after that! Wish me luck!

My final day in School

I Have Left School....

 

Today (08/05/2013) I have formally left school. It feels shocking that I am now out in the big bad world :@. I have big plans for the next year, to get my driving license, to complete my first year of college, to organise my eighteenth birthday party, to buy my own car and to go on my first holiday with friends. Wow a lot of plans for the upcoming year :@

It is getting to that time of year again.... groan! However these exams will be the last in my school years ever! (Hopefully!) I have applied to go to college in august to study Child, Health and Social Care, I got a conditional! This means I will be able to study what I want and will be willing to put the hard effort into the course as it does eventually pay off! I aim to be a carer at minimum but I would aim to go to University (If I don't get too stressed out) to study social work. I hope I can achieve this!

Background!

Background

I was born Sean Alan Moore on Monday July 29th 1996 at the Jane Crookall Maternity Ward in Nobles Hospital in Douglas, Isle Of Man to Emma Quirk and Alan Moore. 

From a very early age I was involved with social workers and both my parents had help to look after me. After a couple of years I was placed with various social workers and everyone hoped I would stay on the island but sadly this wasn't the case because my dad would keep showing up places to try and get me back but not doing it in a very productive way as many people would get hurt because of this. After a few cases of this I was put through to be adopted. I then got adopted at age 4 and a half by Veronica and Norman Rodger.  

I have grown up in a place called Musselburgh in Midlothian and have made some great friends over they years and become exceedingly close to some members of my family i.e my granny Barbara, cousins Michael, Holly and Isabella and my Aunty Tricia, as well as my Grandma Lily.

Nicole Gray is the best friend ever. She is classed as my sister because we are so close! I have known Nicole for 10 or so years and what a ten years it has been. We have had our ups, we have also had our downs though but everyone fights I guess. 

Nicole suffers from very serious anaphylaxis. She got diagnosed with it four years ago. She has been admitted to hospital over 100 times within that time. I had to call an ambulance for her once when she started to cough and wouldn't stop. She is in hospital about 1-2 weeks every month. It is shocking. I am always there for her though as it is such a terrible condition to live with. 

We also love to PARTY PLAN! Nicole is my co-organiser at big house events I have, and vice versa for me. We love to work out what we need, to plan it, to shop for it and to eat/drink it! 

Nicole was the one who got me the job at East Lothian Special Needs Playscheme as she worked there already and I couldn't of thanked her enough for it. It has been great fun working there and great experience. Nicole besically got me a start in life and better experience than someone who wants to do the same as me but doesn't have the same experience!

    I have been friends with Nicole since I have been early years of my primary years of education! We have gotten closer and closer over the years. I don't know what my life would be like without her.

Nicole was born 02.02.1994 and lived in a village called Macmerry for a while then moved to Musselburgh. Nicole was bullied at various schools which eventually caused the result in switching schools. I think Nicole has moved High School four times and she has also repeated her sixth year at High School due to her attendance being a figure like 34% one year. She aims to do Physcology at University or Early Education and Childcare at college. 

No matter what Nicole goes through in her life, she always has a smile on her face and I so admire her for that. She has been hurt, put in hospital many of times, fallen out with friends but no matter what she always tries to make the best of a bad situation and is constantly showing she is happy which is a great thing :). Nicole is like my sister!

I am currently in the middle of writing an album. If you would like to see the lyrics to any songs that I make please feel free to email me at famereviews@gmail.com. The songs I am writing are basically about my life, the past, present and the struggling times I had when I was younger. The album is a mixture between pop, and acoustic music.  

Ear Piercing... 

Getting your ear pierced isn't actually sore:

I went to get my ear pierced 3 weeks ago and my parents said it would be really sore. However I went to a tattoo shop to get it done and the woman was really nice, she made sure I did breathing techniques and as I breathed she put the needle through my ear and I didn't feel a thing. It also doesn't hurt when it first bled either. I love my ear piercing but my mum and grandmother aren't that keen on it. I think the older generation don't like the new style as much.  

Hobbies

One thing you should know about me is that I love to act, dance and sing. These three things are what keeps me going when times are rough. I also love to write music, I would hopefully like to do that as a career one day. People tell me I am a very good singer but I am not sure if it is true. I love to sing no matter what I sound like. I always love to perform in front of an audience, I love being the center of attention. I taught myself to sing and dance however I had help with my acting from various drama groups, which I have, and still do go to. I love to do all these things, and my life wouldn't be the same without them, I especially love to sing and dance at parties and gatherings.

East Lothian Special Needs Playscheme

The 'East Lothian Special Needs Playscheme is one of the most rewarding things I have ever achieved in my life to date. I volunteer and help children with special needs enjoy life and have fun with the condition they have. The playscheme is available to children who have a broad range of conditions. I have also made some incredible friends from there and hope they will be in my life for a long time. 

There are many different activities that go on at Playscheme, including swimming, the bouncy castle, indoor playtime, the art room, sensory room, and outside play like Basketball etc, they also go trampolining, go horse riding, go on bus journeys, go to adventure parks and go to the park. 

Playscheme is a great experience for the kids with special needs as it gives them a chance to feel like they can fit in and mingle with other kids who suffer from similar disabilities to them. It is also great work experience for the helpers to to see what it is like to handle kids with Special Needs and to see if they would like to do this for a living. To volunteer you have to be older than 15 to apply.
